Description
During the period from 1:38 AM to 3:30 AM CST, api.botdojo.com experienced a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack that resulted in service degradation. This caused Code Nodes to timeout and fail execution across various integrated chat services. Flows without Code Nodes and Voice Agents remained operational throughout the incident.
Impact
The DDoS attack affected the following integrated services that utilized Code Nodes:
Embedded Chat
Zendesk Chat integration
Intercom integration
Salesforce Chat integration
Root Cause
A coordinated DDoS attack targeting api.botdojo.com overwhelmed our server infrastructure with malicious traffic volumes. This caused resource exhaustion for services running Code Nodes. Our monitoring systems detected the anomalous traffic patterns.
Resolution
The attack was neutralized at 3:30 AM CST, restoring full service functionality across all affected integrations.
Preventive Measures
Safeguards have been implemented that will provide greater resilience against similar attacks and reduce response times for future incidents.
